One thing nice about the official language being English in Belize is that you will be able to read the newspapers if coming from North America or another English-speaking part of the world. Belize has plenty of newspapers to get information you need. The press in Belize is supposed to be a free one however be careful with information produced in newspapers run by a political party as you will get that party's viewpoint only. You might also need the newspaper for news or look at the advertisements to see if they have any tour specials.

The Amandala
This is the most-circulated newspaper in Belize and has an online presence.
San Pedro Sun
This is a weekly newspaper for San Pedro on Belize's largest island. It is run by Ron and Tamara Sniffin and geared towards news on La Isla Bonita (The Beautiful Island) and San Pedro Town.
San Pedro Daily
This newspaper is for daily news and events in San Pedro and important Belize news. You can get your daily weather reports from Winston Panton in this newspaper.
The Guardian
This newspaper is run by the United Democratic Party of Belize and contains news with a political twist for all of the country.
Ambergris Today
Online newspaper containing news from Ambergris Caye.
The Belize Times
Another newspaper with an online presence. This newspaper has been in existence for 51 years having its first issue printed in 1956 and founded by George Price.
The Belizean
This is more of an online news blog but a place to get information nonetheless.
The Caye Caulker Chronicles contains news for this island.
The Reporter – the second largest news paper circulated in Belize. It contains news about the country plus has an online presence.
The Placencia Breeze – not a regular publication but has news coming from Placencia and the Belize Tourism Industry Association.
